KMK Media Group is a full-service advertising communications firm. We formed in 1998 as a group of young professionals looking to make something more of our respective talents by combining forces. Something clicked. The synergy allowed the business to flourish and grow into what it is today.

Pam Maher - CEO

Pam oversees projects from business development through implementation. She coordinates clients’ public relations and media placement and spearheads the firm’s advertising strategy, radio and TV scripting. Pam serves on non-profit boards including Past Chairman and current board member of the Rockford Chamber of Commerce and Past Chair of the United Way Campaign. She’s also on the board of GiGi’s Playhouse—Rockford and the Rockford Park District Foundation. She previously worked as a TV reporter/anchor in Rockford, Milwaukee and Minnesota and holds a bachelors degree in communications.

Jeff Klarman - President

Jeff oversees the video and audio production area of KMK’s business, ranging from promotional videos to TV and radio spots. Jeff has more than 25 years of experience in multi-media production at manufacturing and healthcare organizations, working for a number of years as head videographer at Rockford Health System before helping form KMK Media Group in 1998. Jeff also handles many of the human resource needs for the company and does a variety of non-profit work in the community, currently serving on the March of Dimes board of directors.

Doug Burton - Online Communications Manager

Doug Burton joined KMK in 2004. Doug combines his many years of technical training with an educational background in marketing to provide clients with a holistic business approach to their Internet presence, overseeing KMK’s website projects and social media marketing. Doug holds a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing and a Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing, both from Rockford College. Doug is an active member of Next Rockford and serves on the boards of Alignment Rockford and Discovery Center Museum.

Kelly Sundby - Graphic Designer

Kelly joined the KMK team in 2010, bringing with him nearly 20 years of experience in graphic and web design. Kelly has won numerous national, regional and local awards for his work which spans a variety of industries and media, ranging from print to digital design. He received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in visual communication from Northern Illinois University. Kelly works closely with KMK clients to develop concepts into the perfect visual presentation.

Lori Wallace - Communications Specialist

Since joining KMK Media Group in 2006, Lori has proven to be multi-faceted, handling a variety of marketing tasks. She is currently responsible for the firm’s social media implementation and strategy, as well as event planning and media buying. Lori has served as Chair of the Northern Illinois Advertising Federation ADDY awards and has also served on the March of Dimes Chef's Auction committee and volunteers with the Salvation Army.

Brandon Houghton - Web Developer

A former intern, Brandon is KMK's Web Developer, assisting in website programming, maintenance and support for our clients. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from Rockford College. Brandon volunteers his time at Rosie’s Birthday Club.

Bob Ryder - Communications Specialist

Bob joined KMK Media Group after working at Rockford’s WTVO/Fox 39 for almost 20 years, much of it as the Senior Reporter and Substitute News Anchor/Meteorologist. He is responsible for helping to coordinate clients’ public relations needs, copywriting, and helping develop marketing strategies.

Mitch Brechon - Account Executive

Living in the Rockford area for more than 35 years and working in various business ventures, marketing and sales positions, Mitch has an excellent feel for the pulse of the business culture in the region. In his role at KMK, Mitch handles new business development and project implementation

Stephanie Lammi - Communications Manager

Stephanie works with a diverse range of clients to coordinate creative and communication projects including marketing plans, print and radio advertising, public relations, social media, and corporate collateral such as brochures and annual reports. Prior to joining the KMK crew, Stephanie held the role of Communications Manager for an association of healthcare professionals, and also spent two years in the management consulting industry. Stephanie graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication and minors in Marketing and Sociology.

Chris Klarman - Communications Assistant

Chris joins KMK Media as a graduate of Northern Illinois University. With a Bachelor's Degree in Journalism and a minor in Communications, Chris assists with a variety of projects at KMK including writing, editing and overseeing both print and online materials such as brochures, newsletters and content for websites. He is also responsible for providing assistance with social media. Chris brings with him experience in public relations and marketing from a stint with the Rock River Raptors Of the United Indoor Football League.
