KMK Media Group announces the addition of Maegan Shinkle to its team as KMK Media Group’s newest communications specialist.
KMK Media Group worked with Heartland Financial, USA to develop the concept for a nationwide banking campaign used by its member banks across the country, including Illinois Bank & Trust in Northern Illinois. KMK recently completed a corresponding photo shoot to help illustrate the campaign in Illinois.
KMK Media Group designed a marketing brochure for Oregon School District 220 to tell the district’s success story to those new to the community.
KMK Media Group was hired by Excentus, a corporation in Dallas, Texas, as a partner in developing new customer loyalty websites for two of their convenience store chain clients in Maryland and Pennsylvania. Excentus is a loyalty marketing and technology firm recently acquired by PDI Software.
KMK Media Group was hired for the 11th year in a row to handle all marketing, social media and public relations for the Parks Chamber “Young at Heart” festival.
The annual event to kick off the summer festival season is held Memorial Day weekend on the Parks Chamber grounds and features live music, food, a carnival and entertainment and draws tens of thousands of attendees every year.
KMK Media Group designed a marketing brochure for Kids’ Place, the free child care facility located in both the Winnebago County Courthouse and the Winnebago County Criminal Justice Center. The facilities provide safe, free child care while parents and guardians are at any county building or court-ordered service. The brochure is available on site and provided in English and Spanish.
KMK Media Group was hired by Aurora Educational Technology in Ogle County to collaborate on the construction of its new website which will support online training, expanded products and assistance to customers. Aurora Educational Technology leads the educational software industry in assisting school districts worldwide to maximize their use of PowerSchool software.
KMK Media Group completed the development of a file sharing component for a website for Civil Engineering Services located in Belvidere. The web application allows Civil Engineering Services to set up custom accounts for its clients so both the company and its clients can confidentially share files with one another and receive email notifications when a new file has been added.
KMK Media Group designed an annual report and pledge card for the Boy Scouts of America Blackhawk Area Council. The infographic-driven easy-to-read report showcases highlights of the past year including major sources of revenue and how the money is spent to provide camping, programs, supplies, scholarships, special events and other activities for thousands of participants each year.
KMK Media Group was hired by Kuipers Family Farm in Maple Park. The commercial farm contains an apple orchard and pumpkin patch visited by hundreds of thousands of people every year. KMK will provide marketing and social media consulting to the business which features a haunted forest, train, corn maze, baseball throw, cider, and donuts. The property is also a choice venue and backdrop for many picturesque weddings and special events every year.
KMK Media Group was hired by Barkley’s Burgers, Brews & Dawgs, a bar/restaurant on the west side of Janesville that’s modeled after dog-themed bars in New York City. KMK will be providing marketing consulting and social media management.
KMK Media Group was hired by the Friends of Tom McNamara campaign committee to assist with marketing and event planning for Mayor McNamara’s “Jingle & Mingle” fundraiser at Giovanni’s Restaurant on December 6th. More than 300 people attended the event. KMK Media handled event planning, invitation design, email and social media marketing.
KMK Media Group produced a fundraising video that was shown at the Blackhawk Area Council’s Legacy of Service Luncheon.
The annual event honors individuals in the Rockford region who provide impactful service to our community. Proceeds from the event support scouting for at-risk youth who would not otherwise be able to afford to participate in scouting.
KMK Media Group launched a new website for the Winnebago 9/11 Memorial that features the most recent local first responder to die in the line of duty – Rockford Police Officer Jaimie Cox.

The website, www.winn911.org, showcases a drone video, shot by KMK Media, of the memorial. Web visitors can view the memorial’s start-up process, read about its steel beams from Ground Zero, and learn how to donate to the ongoing cause and maintenance of the structure.
KMK Media Group was hired by Crusader Community Health to assist with marketing consultation for its walk-in clinics. Crusader operates two walk-in clinics, one on North Alpine Road and one on Broadway in Rockford. The CrusaderNow Walk-In Clinics provide access to medical care for Crusader patients and non-patients.
KMK Media Group, a Rockford-based marketing communications firm, was hired by the Temple Independent School District in Temple, Texas, to provide ongoing marketing consulting and support. The urban public school district is located in central Texas in a community of 450,000 people and serves approximately 8,600 students.
KMK Media Group completed an updated website for Civil Engineering Services, a Belvidere-based firm providing civil engineering and surveying services in Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa. KMK specializes in work for construction-related firms including engineering, construction management, excavation, concrete, environmental and related services.
KMK Media Group designed a McDonald’s food tray liner for the Golden Apple Foundation highlighting the 2017 Golden Apple winners and encouraging nominations for the 2018 teacher excellence awards. Liners will be used at McDonald’s restaurants throughout Northern Illinois.
